The Ministry of Health confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 on San Salvador on Wednesday.
The new cases brought the total number of cases on the island to six. The first case was confirmed on San Salvador on January 1.
Nine new cases were also confirmed on New Providence on Wednesday. The location for an additional case is pending.
The Bahamas has confirmed 7,959 COVID-19 cases since March, 1,435 of which were active as of Wednesday.
The number of cases already recovered is 6, 297.
That figure includes 20 additional recoveries that were reported on Wednesday.
So far, 175 COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed in The Bahamas.
