12 more COVID deaths

Twelve more COVID-19 deaths were confirmed in The Bahamas on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 642.

One of COVID deaths was a 16-year-old boy. According to the Ministry of Health’s COVID update, all of the deaths took place between September 23 and October 14.

All of the deaths were on New Providence. The oldest victim was a 92-year-old woman.

Another 128 people have been confirmed to have died with COVID, but not because of it, while another 60 deaths are still under investigation.

The Bahamas also recorded 25 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday. Of the new cases, 22 were on New Providence and one each on Grand Bahama, Abaco and Andros.

As of Thursday, 103 people were hospitalized with COVID in The Bahamas, 12 of whom were in intensive care.
