God will keep you safe

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.”
 – Psalm 91:11-14

The investigative success of many crimes committed has been contributed to the technical sophistication of camera surveillance, loyal and dedicated security officers and various breeds of the canine family. In many areas, Brownie the potcake dog has been the only “watchman on the wall” where finances were low, far apart and the sign reading “Bad Dogs.”

The COVID-19 pandemic came with not only physical death, but serious financial death, and as a result, some areas of crime increased. Imagine the near closure and shutdown of the economy of a nation!

The entire theme throughout this well-loved and read 91st Psalm is the promise of God’s protection. Those who trust in God enjoy his protection. This is not to say that those who do not are not beneficiaries, for he rains on the just and unjust; but those who subscribe for “divine insurance” receive immediate response.

God protects those who cling to him in love – those who reside in the secret place of the Most High shall be protected under the shadow of the Almighty. Here is all that you will receive when you sign up with this “111 Divine Protection Agency” – one for the Father, one for the Son and one for The Holy Spirit!

Whoever goes to the Lord for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty, can say to him, “You are my defender and protector. You are my God – in you I trust. He will keep you safe from all hidden dangers and from all deadly diseases. He will cover you with his wings. You will be safe in his care. His faithfulness will protect and defend you.

You need not fear any dangers at night, or sudden attacks during the day, or the plagues that strike in the dark or the evils that kill in daylight. A thousand may fall dead beside you, 10,000 all around you, but you will not be harmed. You will look and see how the wicked are punished.

You have made the Lord your defender, the Most High your protector, and so no disaster will strike you, no violence will come near your home. God will put his angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones. You will trample down lions and snakes.

God says I will save those who love me and will protect those who acknowledge me as Lord. When they call to me, I will answer them. When they are in trouble, I will be with them. I will rescue them and honor them. I will reward them with long life. I will save them.

Thank you, father God for your protection and the protection of ministering angels. Do you have a story of how God and his angels saved you from imminent danger? I have heard of Tiger Woods and his accident. I pray that faith in God keeps him.
