The Ministry of Health confirmed four additional COVID-19 deaths and 72 new cases on Tuesday.
This pushes the COVID-19 death toll in The Bahamas to 63.
A 46-year-old New Providence woman died of COVID-19 on August 31 2020. A 71-year-old New Providence woman and a 63-year-old New Providence woman died on August 26 and a 61-year-old Exuma man died on August 30.
The ministry also confirmed an additional non-COVID related death. This reduces the number of deaths under investigation to 10 and increases the non-COVID related deaths to eight.
Of the new infections, there were 58 on New Providence, nine on Abaco and five on Grand Bahama.
The total number of confirmed cases in The Bahamas stood at 2,657 up to yesterday.
There were 1,488 active cases, 69 hospitalized cases and 1,088 recovered cases.
