Funeral Service for Vandyke McDonald Adderley age 61, of Deadman’s Cay, Long Island will be held on Saturday September 26, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Athanasius Anglican Church, Deadman’s Cay, Long Island. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Kari Marcelle, assisted by Rev. Fr. Lynden Douglas. Interment will follow in Deadman’s Cay Public Cemetery, Deadman’s Cay, Long Island.
He is survived by his wife: Gerona Adderley; children, Sabrina Darville, Vandyke Adderley, V. Deniece Adderley, Camille Adderley and Jovan Adderley; grandchildren, Kale Rolle, Symphony, Laya, Zion & D’mia Darville, Olindo Daxon, Jayden Knowles, Vania, Zyaire, Rogan, Naarziae, Jovan, Amado & Ameer Adderley, Libron Harding, Markeo & M’Kiah Taylor; aunts, Iris Farquharson & Beatrice Cartwright;, John Knowles, Allen Cartwright & Vernice Turnquest; siblings, Vernon ‘Timer’ Adderley, Ineta Cooper, Deborah Claridge, Erma Smith, Danette Collins & uncles Yvonne Adderley; Other relatives including: Elsie Smith; Che Darville, Stacy Adderley, Veronica Adderley, George Cooper, Anthony Claridge, Barbara Adderley, Wade Smith, Brenda Adderley, Lennie Bethel, Harrison (Louise) Smith, Renadell Lockhart, Eunice Smith, Betty Moss, Rollie (Malinda) Smith, Joan Scott, Ron Smith, Michelle Knowles, Deanna Mackey, Carmel (Sean) Penn, Cyprianna (Elvis) Smith, Randy (Kimberly) Smith, Charmaine (Ronald) Bain, Portia (Alexander) Smith, Narona Smith & Miriam Smith; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Viewing will be held in the Legacy Suite of Vaughn O. Jones Memorial Center, Mt. Royal Ave. and Talbot Street on Thursday from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. and at St. Athanasius Anglican Church, Deadman’s Cay, Long Island on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to service time.
