14-year-old in custody after selling marijuana edibles at school, police say

A 14-year-old student of S.C. McPherson Junior High School was arrested on Wednesday after he brought marijuana edibles to school and sold them to his fellow students, police said. 

Seven students, who admitted to consuming the marijuana infused Rice Krispy Cereal treats, fell ill and were taken to hospital for medical attention, police said.  

Police said the teen is expected to be charged in relation to this matter today. 

Police on Grand Bahama and New Providence recently warned of an increase in marijuana infused products in packaging similar to legitimate snack brands.
