The Bahamas recorded the highest single-day total of COVID-19 cases, with nine new cases confirmed today, according to the Ministry of Health.
Seven cases were recorded on Grand Bahama and two on New Providence.
The Grand Bahama cases include four men, ages 53, 47, 45 and 30 and three women, ages 54, 47 and 30. The 45-year-old has been hospitalized. The remainder are isolating at home.
The New Providence cases include two men, ages 55 and 53. The ministry said the 55-year-old has been hospitalized.
Two of the nine cases have a history of travel. Travel details are pending in another case. The others have no history of travel.
There have been 138 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas.
The Ministry of Health confirmed five cases on Friday.
