Two men were hospitalized on New Providence following a shooting on Tuesday evening, police said.
According to reports, shortly before 5 p.m., police were alerted to gunshots on Montel Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they were told that two men had been shot. One had been taken to the hospital already in a private vehicle. The other was still on the scene and was taken to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
Police said one victim was last listed in critical condition and the other was stable.
