Tyrone Pratt Jr. is BFSB’s 2019 Student of the Year – Financial Services

Tyrone Pratt Jr. is the Bahamas Financial Services Board’s 2019 Student of the Year – Financial Services.

The University of The Bahamas (UB) graduate with a Bachelor’s in business administration, economics and finance, with distinction, received an initial contribution toward an investment account with CFAL.

Annually, CFAL, along with the Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) and UB, organizes and sponsors the Student of the Year Award – Financial Services to support and encourage the next generation of finance professionals.

A native of San Salvador, Pratt has served as vice president of the Economic Society at UB and co-chairperson of the School of Business steering committee. He was also a member of UB’s team for the Global CFA Research Challenge in 2018.

He has received numerous awards, including: the Livingstone Evans Memorial Award Economics and Finance (2019); honoree for the National Youth Award in Youth Leadership (2018); honoree for the National Youth Award in Education (2016); Young Unsung Hero Award (2016); National Award for the Economics Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) examination (2015); honoree for Alpha Phi Alpha (2014); Bahamas Outstanding Student Foundation Award (2014); Jones Communications Network Award (2014); and Cancer Society of The Bahamas Outstanding Youth Award for the island of San Salvador (2013).
