Two men, one of them armed with a gun, robbed the Rolex boutique on Paradise Island shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, police reported.
The men smashed two glass showcases and stole an undetermined number of Rolex watches before fleeing the scene, police said.
No one was injured during the incident as employees hid in the back of the store when they realized one man was armed.
In a statement, Atlantis said, “We can confirm that theft occurred at the Rolex store. The police were called and the matter is under investigation. Thankfully, no one was injured.”
This incident comes amid ongoing concerns about robberies on New Providence.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis promised to “beef up the manpower and beef up the security” to get a handle on the crime spree.
