Rev. Fr. Edward Alexander Seymour

Funeral Service for Rev. Fr. Edward Alexander Seymour, age 83 years, a resident of Knowles, Cat Island, will be held on Friday April 3rd, 2020, 10:00 a.m., at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Church and Shirley Streets. Officiating will be Bishop Laish Z. Boyd assisted by Archdeacon Kingsley Knowles and Canon Crosley Walkine. Interment will be made in St. Peter’s Church, St. Saviour’s Parish, Cat Island.

Due to the Government’s Orders and related restrictions placed on Funeral Attendance as a result of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the family will comply with the government’s special regulations pertaining to funerals and apologize in advance for any inconvenience cause.

His survivors include his Son: Khayl Seymour; Daughter: Janice Seymour; Brothers: Patrick and Norman Seymour; Sisters: Virginia Butler (Vergie) and Lilly Seymour; Nephews: Antonio (Cola Jean) Butler, Angelo (Sandra) Butler, Pedro (Marlene) Bain, Christopher Mackey, Kenneth Brice, Desmond and James Seymour. Nieces; Valerie (Dale) Gibson, Janet (John) DeBarros, Alecia (David) Johnson, Amoranna (Richmond) Maycock, Delrise (Dwayne) Daley, Cheryl Seymour, Melanie (Alvin) Thurston, Patricia (Randy) Hanna, Vanessa Rahming, Keturah (Keith) Bryan, Christina (Devon) Rahming. Numerous other relatives and friends including: Archdeacon  James and Reverend Angela Palacious and Family, Tanya Webb-Pickstock, Martha Major, Monsignor Alfred Culmer, Robert, Elvis, Daphne and Katie Davis, Dawn Fox, Marlene Albury, Doreen Campbell, Kelsey Williams, Geraldine Hepburn, Joseph and Raymond Culmer, Michael Gardiner , Samuel and Merlene Romer, Ruthmae King, Maybree Johnson, Suzie Hamilton, Caregiver Beverly Walker, Sidney Moncur, Cedric and Olga Wilson, Pastor Vernis Storr, The Hunter Family of Port Howe, Cat Island, King Family, Moncur Family, Romer Family, Strachan Family, Seymour Family, Butler Family, Charmaine and Jayson Bain, Farah Family, Larimore Family,  The Anglican Community of The Bahamas , Cat Island in particular and the entire Community of Cat Island. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of The Sandilands Geriatrics Hospital.

The family apologizes to anyone whose name was inadvertently left out; it is by no means intentional.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Cedar Crest Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Robinson and Baillou Hill Roads, on Thursday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., and at the Church on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
