Police shot and killed a man on Saturday night after they say the suspect pointed a gun at officers.
According to police, after officers stopped a black vehicle around 11 p.m. during a patrol on Washington Street off Balfour Avenue, a man came out of the vehicle armed with a gun which he aimed at the officers.
The officers shot the man who then ran to the back of a home and died, police said.
According to police, a 9 mm pistol was recovered from the scene.
This is the third police-involved shooting for the year.
Minister of National Security Marvin Dames on Tuesday warned criminals that they will not win in any encounters with police.
A day earlier police shot and killed a man during what they described as an attempted armed robbery.
