Police on Abaco searching for men responsible for armed robbery

Police are continuing a search for two armed robbers who held up a gas station manager on Abaco on Christmas Eve.

The victim was opening his business in Dundas Town shortly before 6 a.m., when he was accosted by two armed men, Superintendent Robert Simmons told The Nassau Guardian.

The masked men, described as slim built, and five feet, five inches tall, robbed the manager of cash.

Police said one of the bandits accidentally shot his accomplice while gun butting the manager.

Both men fled the station and the injured suspect left a trail of blood behind.

Simmons said based on the amount of blood, police believe that one of the robbers was seriously injured.

Nonetheless, he and his accomplice continue to evade police.

Simmons said the armed robbery victim has been released from the Marsh Harbour Clinic, where he was treated for head injuries.
