Crystal Cruises will continue to keep far-flung Bahamian islands on its itineraries into 2022, the company announced in a press statement Wednesday, explaining that the Family Islands will be included in cruises departing out of both Miami and New York.
Crystal revealed in its statement that the
Crystal Symphony vessel will be the ship to cruise The Bahamas and Caribbean during the tourism high season from late November 2021 through to March 2022.
In all, the company introduced 14 seven-night luxury voyages and two 10-night and 11-night itineraries that explore the “exclusive enclaves of the Lesser Antilles, the yachting harbors of the Virgin Islands and the pristine natural beauty of the Bahamian Out Islands”.
Crystal currently runs an all-Bahamas cruise that begins in Nassau. The company made the decision to home port and begin its cruises from The Bahamas when US ports remained closed.
The cruise line’s itinerary beginning out of New York will be an all-Bahamas cruise with stops in San Salvador, Great Exuma and Bimini.
Its cruise departing from Miami will also have an all-Bahamas itinerary with stops in Bimini, Nassau, San Salvador, Great Exuma and Long Island.
“This post-Thanksgiving voyage to paradise offers the chance to swim in crystal clear waters with the famous swimming pigs of Big Major Cay in the Exumas, to trace the footsteps of Columbus on the isle of San Salvador, and to overnight in Hemingway’s favorite hideaway in Bimini, home to the new Beach Club at Bimini, a stylish island oasis with a lagoon-style pool, private cabanas and more,” the statement noted.
Crystal Cruises President Jack Anderson said in the statement that the new itineraries are an opportunity for Americans to visit destinations close to home.
“There has never been a better time or opportunity to experience true luxury with the world’s most awarded luxury cruise line,” said Anderson.
“These destination-rich voyages to the Caribbean and The Bahamas in the popular high season are a unique chance for travelers to take that Crystal cruise they’ve dreamed of and enjoy Crystal’s hallmark luxuries, with close-to-home departures to idyllic islands that are a world away in terms of natural beauty and incredible experiences.”
The Bahamas will also be featured in Crystal’s “Tropical New Year’s Celebration” cruise, which departs Miami and calls on Bimini, San Salvador, Long Island, Great Exuma, and Ocho Rios and Port Royal in Jamaica.
“Travelers will ring in the new year and wake to a luxurious day at sea on this tropical holiday voyage,” Crystal’s statement noted.
“The Out Islands beckon with secluded coves, turquoise waters, breathtaking beaches and even the chance to witness the swimming pigs of the Exumas.”
Crystal has helped Bahamians set up businesses on some of the Family Islands its vessels visit, that cater to the needs of its guests on shore excursions.
