Warwick Paradise Island will reopen for stays beginning November 21, the resort revealed in a statement, adding that it will be offering resident rates when it opens its doors.
Warwick closed its doors more than two months ago, after Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis took a swipe at Bahamians who had been using open hotels in manners contrary to the best advice to help guard against the spread of COVID-19. However, Minnis did not specifically name the hotels being used.
Warwick was one of the only resorts that remained open on Paradise Island when the country reopened to visitors at the beginning of July, and it remained open after further restrictions were placed on anyone coming into The Bahamas.
Warwick said it will put its “Warwick Cares” protocols in place that focus on guest social interactions, hotel cleaning practices and workplace protocols.
Warwick General Manager Benjamin Davis said the resort looks forward to welcoming guests back.
“Vacationers will note our attention to detail with respect to the safety, health and comfort of our guests and staff members under our Warwick Cares guidelines,” Davis said.
Warwick is offering resident stays for $290 per night “based on stays in an island-view room”.
Warwick will open 20 days after the new testing protocols are put in place, which requires a negative RT-PCR test prior to arrival and two rapid tests on arrival.
“Guests staying at Warwick Paradise Island for Thanksgiving will enjoy a holiday meal featuring turkey, all the trimmings and decadent desserts,” the statement noted.
