The Bahamas Flag Football League (BFFL) is all set to open its 12th season this Sunday, March 15, at the old Thomas A. Robinson Stadium fields with six games starting at 1 p.m.
This year, 12 teams will battle to be crowned champions in the men’s and women’s divisions.
According to the president of the BFFL, Jayson Clarke: “This season is looking to be one of our most exciting ones to date. A few new rules have been implemented in both the male and female divisions, which are major game changers.”
He added that it will be interesting to see how teams adjust and utilize the new rules to their advantage during the season.
The new rules were implemented to better prepare the teams for international play. They also look to host nationals against Freeport in July, so this season is one where a lot is at stake as teams want to represent at the national and international levels.
Entrance fee for the games are $3 for adults and no entrance fee for children 12 and under. Chairs will be available for rent for $2 each.
