Axel Gasser, SLS Baha Mar vice president and general manager warned people a week ago, not to wait until the last minute to secure tickets to Taste of SLS Baha Mar, because he only had approximately 100 gold level tickets remaining. On Wednesday evening, the Baha Mar site showed that a few silver level tickets had popped up, but by Thursday morning, the site was sold out across the board for this evening’s event that is exquisite cuisine coupled with bespoke cocktails and a special performance from American award-winning artist John Legend, which makes for the perfect recipe to indulge in an amazing night out. More than a food event, Taste of SLS is expected to be a feast for the senses.
Gasser told The Nassau Guardian that this Taste of SLS will be an event on steroids. And very different from what comprised the Taste of SLS Baha Mar in 2019.
The event has been moved from Monkey Bar to the resort’s newly opened Baha Bay water park’s entertainment center where patrons will feast on an array of food from the resort’s star-studded lineup of chefs from Carna, Katsuya, Fi’lia, and Cleo; as well as unlimited drinks which will be topped off with John Legend holding court on a stage built atop the Flow Simulator, overlooking patrons for his performance tonight.
“Essentially, you have a setting that is far more unique, and more impressive,” said Gasser.
The evening is expected to be an incredible experience.
Bahamian touches have been added to the line-up, and will feature a performance by a Bahamian artist who will open for John Legend, a Bahamian cuisine station, a Junkanoo rush-out and stilt walkers/dancers.
After the main event, which is unlimited gourmet food, wine, drinks and John Legend live, the event continues with the official after party in Skybar which is accessible for gold ticket holders and up.
Those opting to stay at the resort for the event and who have purchased platinum and cabana level tickets will be able to take advantage of Taste of SLS After Dark in Bond nightclub which has been closed for more than a year-and-a-half, and will be open for just the one night.
“We wanted to create a celebration for people,” said Gasser. “The whole event will have a vibe of the mysterious. You have the floating champagne and Rosé lounge, and the mysteriousness of smoke and lights and fire features, so it is definitely going to be a theatrical event, supported by DJ Ignite.”
The SLS has created different experiences so people could make their choice as to how to enjoy the event and the price point that worked for them – silver, gold and platinum.
In total, 240 silver tickets, 300 gold, and 100 platinum tickets were sold. Private cabana prices were also available.
Silver ticket holders have access to the event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., unlimited premium open bar and celebrity chef stations, and access to the LVE Lounge.
Gold ticket holders have access to the event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., unlimited premium open bar and celebrity chef stations, access to the LVE Lounge, access to the VIP Lounge, and access to the After Party at Skybar.
Platinum ticket holders have access to the event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., unlimited premium open bar and celebrity chef stations, access to the LVE Lounge, access to Skybox, access to the After Party at Skybar, and access to After Hour Event at Bond Nightclub.
