Central and South Eleuthera MP Hank Johnson said yesterday that he tested positive for COVID-19 and is in hospital.
In a statement, Johnson thanked the medical staff for “their skilled and detailed care of me and all the Bahamians battling this illness”.
“Please keep me and all those in our country afflicted with COVID-19 in your prayers,” he said.
The news came after Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) Leader Philip Brave Davis and PLP Senator Dr. Michael Darville said they tested positive for the virus over the weekend.
Cases of COVID-19 in The Bahamas continue to surge since July 8. There have been over 1,400 cases in the second wave.
