While thousands remain at home throughout The Bahamas during the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of Atlantis team members used the time to “flex their creative muscles” through art, using the time at home to express their creativity through drawing and painting unique and stunning pieces of art which were submitted by team members, and which figuratively depict the beauty and hope that still abounds despite the challenges being faced.
The pieces, Atlantis officials say, will be strategically placed at the resort once it reopens, to inspire not only team members but also its guests.
Atlantis is expected to begin its phased reopening on July 7, according to Audrey Oswell, resort president and managing director, welcoming their first guests back to The Royal and Harborside on July 7 and The Cove on July 14 as part of a phased reopening. The launch of phase two will depend on business volume.
“For some, art is more than creativity; it’s therapy, it’s an expression and it’s a universal language that never ceases to amaze us. But, most importantly, it reminds us that even in these troubled times, beauty still abounds,” said Oswell.
