Head coach of the Rebels Chris Malloy said that he hopes his team can build on this heading into the spring semester.
“I’m proud of the way these guys finished their rounds each day. Today (Sunday) we got off to a great start but really struggled midway through the round. However, they were able to refocus and finish like a champion. Winning is hard to do in our sport. Winning is also contagious and I look for them to build on this and take the same mindset into the spring semester.”
It was the seventh tournament title for the Rebels under Malloy who is in his eighth season.
Suber, a senior finished with an overall score of 205 (-11) which was enough for him to hold off the Dons’ Toby Briggs. The top three individual finalists finished within a stroke of each other.
