Abaco police have arrested and charged three people in connection with a carjacking that took place on December 3.
Prosecutors allege that Andre “Moe” Kikivarakis Jr, 22, Raheem McBride, 28, and Clarence “CJ” North, 24, all of Murphy Town, robbed Adlin Demosthene of a 2007 Honda Accord and $1,400 that was in the car’s glove compartment.
Demosthene was allegedly bumped from behind while driving along Murphy Town Drive shortly before 10 p.m. Three gunmen, whom prosecutors say are the accused, robbed Demosthene of his car at gunpoint when he came out to inspect the damage.
Police recovered the car, but not the money.
Kikivarakis, McBride and North were not required a plea to the charge of armed robbery when they made an initial court appearance before Magistrate Ancella Evans on Wednesday.
They have been remanded to prison and prosecutors intend to fast-track the case to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment.
